ABOUT US
Started by high school students from the city of Poughkeepsie, New York Youth for Masks is an extending chapter from Youth for Masks that was started in Washington State. Since the start of this outbreak, we have been deeply concerned with the severity of COVID-19. As the pandemic became increasingly detrimental, close friends and families who work in hospitals have been sharing the issues that comes with PPE shortages. As this outbreak separates our community, we want to encourage unity and togetherness. We welcome new members from New York state who will strive to help front-line medical workers.
MEDICAL GRADE MASKS DONATION PROJECT
At New York Youth for Masks, we are dedicated to elevating our efforts in addressing personal protective equipment (PPE) shortages in New York state. Our main focus is to distribute FDA approved medical grade masks, this fundraising project will deliver about 20,000 masks to at least four different nursing homes across the state.
